A Quranic Verse on Time

وَالْعَصْرِ (1) إِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ لَفِي خُسْرٍ (2) إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ (3)

"By time, Indeed, mankind is in loss, Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience."

(Surah Al-Asr, 103:1-3)

A Hadith on Free Time

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: **"There are two blessings that many people are deceived into losing: health and free time."**

(Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 6412)

Duas to Seek Refuge from Laziness

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ

Allahumma inni a’udhu bika minal-‘ajzi wal-kasal

"O Allah, I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness."
