Dua for Victory and Strength
اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنَّا نَجْعَلُكَ فِي نُحُورِهِمْ، وَنَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شُرُورِهِمْ
Allahumma inna naj'aluka fi nuhurihim, wa na'udhu bika min shururihim.
"O Allah, we place You against their chests, and we seek refuge in You from their evils."

Dua for Relief from Distress
لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْعَظِيمُ الْحَلِيمُ، لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ، لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَرَبُّ الْأَرْضِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ
La ilaha illallahul-'Azimul-Halim, la ilaha illallahu Rabbul-'Arshil-'Azim, la ilaha illallahu Rabbus-samawati wa Rabbul-ardi wa Rabbul-'Arshil-Karim.
"There is no deity but Allah, the Great, the Forbearing. There is no deity but Allah, Lord of the Great Throne. There is no deity but Allah, Lord of the heavens, Lord of the earth, and Lord of the Noble Throne."

Hadith on the Believer's Patience
عَجَبًا لِأَمْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِ إِنَّ أَمْرَهُ كُلَّهُ لَهُ خَيْرٌ، وَلَيْسَ ذَلِكَ لِأَحَدٍ إِلَّا لِلْمُؤْمِنِ، إِنْ أَصَابَتْهُ سَرَّاءُ شَكَرَ فَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَهُ، وَإِنْ أَصَابَتْهُ ضَرَّاءُ صَبَرَ فَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَهُ
'Ajaban li amril-mu'min, inna amrahu kullahu lahu khayr, wa laysa dhalika li ahadin illa lil-mu'min. In asabathu sarra'u shakara fakana khayran lahu, wa in asabathu darra'u sabara fakana khayran lahu.
"How wonderful is the case of the believer; there is good for him in everything and this is not the case with anyone except a believer. If prosperity comes to him, he expresses gratitude to Allah and that is good for him; and if adversity befalls him, he endures it patiently and that is good for him."
(Sahih Muslim)
Hadith on the Reality of this World
مَا الدُّنْيَا فِي الْآخِرَةِ إِلَّا مِثْلُ مَا يَجْعَلُ أَحَدُكُمْ إِصْبَعَهُ فِي الْيَمِّ فَلْيَنْظُرْ بِمَ يَرْجِعُ
Ma ad-dunya fil-akhirati illa mithlu ma yaj'alu ahadukum isba'ahu fil-yamm, falyandhur bima yarji'u.
"The world is nothing in comparison to the Hereafter but like one of you dipping his finger into the sea; let him see what he brings forth."
(Sahih Muslim)
