Dua of Prophet Ayyub
أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الضُّرُّ وَأَنْتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ
Anni massaniya-d-durru wa anta Arhamur-rahimin.
"Indeed, adversity has touched me, and You are the most merciful of the merciful."
(Quran, Surah Al-Anbiya, 21:83)
Dua for Relief from Distress
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْعَظِيمُ الْحَلِيمُ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَرَبُّ الْأَرْضِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ
La ilaha illa-llahu-l-'Azim al-Halim, la ilaha illa-llahu Rabbu-l-'arsh al-'azim, la ilaha illa-llahu Rabbu-s-samawati wa Rabbu-l-ard wa Rabbu-l-'arsh al-karim.
"There is no god but Allah, the All-Mighty, the Forbearing. There is no god but Allah, the Lord of the mighty throne. There is no god but Allah, the Lord of the heavens and the earth, and the Lord of the noble throne."

Hadith on Allah's Closeness
إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى يَقُولُ: أَنَا عِنْدَ ظَنِّ عَبْدِي بِي، وَأَنَا مَعَهُ إِذَا ذَكَرَنِي
Inna Allaha ta\'ala yaqulu: \'Ana \'inda dhanni \'abdi bi, wa ana ma\'ahu idha dhakarani.\'
"Allah the Most High says: 'I am as My servant thinks I am, and I am with him when he remembers Me.'"

Hadith on Patience
مَا يُصِيبُ الْمُسْلِمَ مِنْ نَصَبٍ وَلاَ وَصَبٍ وَلاَ هَمٍّ وَلاَ حَزَنٍ وَلاَ أَذًى وَلاَ غَمٍّ حَتَّى الشَّوْكَةِ يُشَاكُهَا إِلاَّ كَفَّرَ اللَّهُ بِهَا مِنْ خَطَايَاهُ
Ma yusibu al-Muslima min nasab, wala wasab, wala hammin, wala hazan, wala adha, wala ghamm, hatta ash-shawkatu yushakhuha, illa kaffara Allahu biha min khatayahu.
"No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick of a thorn, but Allah expiates his sins thereby."
