Dua to Remove Hatred

رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِإِخْوَانِنَا الَّذِينَ سَبَقُونَا بِالْإِيمَانِ وَلَا تَجْعَلْ فِي قُلُوبِنَا غِلًّا لِّلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ رَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ

Rabbana-ghfir lana wa li-ikhwanina alladhina sabaquna bil-iman, wa la taj'al fi qulubina ghillan lilladhina amanu, Rabbana innaka Ra'ufun Rahim.

"Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith, and do not place in our hearts any malice toward those who have believed. Our Lord, indeed You are Kind and Merciful."

(Quran, Surah Al-Hashr, 59:10)

Dua for a Good Heart

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ قَلْبٍ لَا يَخْشَعُ

Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min qalbin la yakhsha'.

"O Allah, I seek refuge in You from a heart that has no fear of You."

(Sunan At-Tirmidhi)

Hadith on Controlling Anger

لَيْسَ الشَّدِيدُ بِالصُّرَعَةِ، إِنَّمَا الشَّدِيدُ الَّذِي يَمْلِكُ نَفْسَهُ عِنْدَ الْغَضَبِ

Laisash-shadidu bis-sur'ati, innamash-shadidu alladhi yamliku nafsahu 'indal-ghadab.

"The strong person is not the one who can physically overpower others. The strong person is the one who controls himself when he is angry."

(Sahih al-Bukhari)

Hadith on Spreading Love

لَا تَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ حَتَّى تُؤْمِنُوا، وَلَا تُؤْمِنُوا حَتَّى تَحَابُّوا، أَوَلَا أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى شَيْءٍ إِذَا فَعَلْتُمُوهُ تَحَابَبْتُمْ؟ أَفْشُوا السَّلَامَ بَيْنَكُمْ

La tadkhulunal-jannata hatta tu'minu, wa la tu'minu hatta tahabbu. Awala adullukum 'ala shay'in idha fa'altumuhu tahabtum? Afshus-salamu bainakum.

"You will not enter Paradise until you believe, and you will not believe until you love one another. Shall I tell you of something that, if you do it, you will love one another? Spread salam (greetings of peace) among yourselves."
