About Salat (Namaz)
The Importance of Salat
Salat is the second pillar of Islam and a direct connection between a servant and their Lord. It is the first matter that will be brought to account on the Day of Judgement. Establishing the five daily prayers is the cornerstone of a Muslim's life.
Conditions of Prayer
Before prayer, one must have the correct intention (Niyyah), be in a state of ritual purity (Wudu), wear clean clothes, and face the direction of the Kaaba in Mecca (Qibla).
Daily Rak'ats (Units)
Each prayer consists of a specific number of units (Rak'ats), which include both obligatory (Fard) and recommended (Sunnah) prayers.
